- Always keep feet dry and avoid regular moisture
- Do not use closed shoes and avoid nonporous
- Use absorbent socks like of wool or cotton
- Use water-proof sandals when public showers
- Dry feet after shower or swimming
Also be selective when going to a salon for pedicure or manicure. Never borrow or lend nail files, emery board, nail clippers etc. Avoid artificial nails when infected with a nail fungus as they will give more protection to fungus and prevent the medication from reaching and killing the fungus.
