Abortion and Amnesty – The Hypocrisy Twins Posted By : Rev Michael Bresciani

It doesn’t take a voluminous theological treatise, a long list of scripture references, an introduction, three points, accompanying illustrations and a conclusion to say all that needs to be said on this subject. All it takes is just a few words spoken by Christ.

Jesus said “Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, that in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.” (Mt 18:10)

Starting with only the word ‘despise’ we are called to attention. Have the words hate and despise ceased to be synonymous in the fantasy land of political correctness? While America tip toes around trying not to offend with a slip of the tongue against some minority, gender group or other modern club of the over sensitized how is it that we are overlooking this huge hypocrisy.

Is it OK to hate the unborn? Of course we would say abortion isn’t hatred but we all know that when someone steps up in our face and says “I hate you” we can always turn away and go on living. If they say “I am going to kill you” we may want to run for our lives. Unlike the unborn we have that simple option to run; they do not. No mystery here just a simple question; which would be the greater threat or offence to you, hatred or death?

Evolutionists unlike the religious don’t worship God for the most part nor do they revere their ancestors as those from oriental backgrounds. If they did they may have trouble identifying how far back in time they would want to go before coming to a solid conclusion on which deity to worship. Would they be satisfied to just worship the ‘great monkey in the sky’ or would they need to chant mantra’s to the first one cell amoeba that time, chance and a whopping bolt of lightning birthed. Instead of chanting the familiar deep and guttural ahoom mantra, it may be scrapped for the far more meaningful, ahoomoeba.

Here you see a line so fine between despising what is commonly accepted and denoting what is blaringly ridiculous that you have no idea which one is actually being done. Yet there is no question about which side of the line the pro-lifers are on when it comes to identifying the source or, you might say, the prior citizenship of the unborn.

Jesus said “…in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father.” Those who worship Christ as the Son of the Living God allow him alone to identify the source or the point of origination of un-born children. He is that source. Whether a secularized world believes this or not does nothing to remove the blatant hypocrisy that is being wielded in the push for amnesty. We are being asked to hand down a free citizenship pass to people who violated our laws and our borders pouring in from other countries but, we are denying citizenship for those who arrive daily from a place best known as the ‘Kingdom of God’ to believers and to Christ himself.

Is the question really about amnesty for 12 million illegal aliens or is it about the 50 million who have already been denied citizenship in this country and the millions more that will be denied until Roe V. Wade is repealed?

After reading the Bible some thirty times straight through over a forty year period I still have not found the many contradictions the secular world claims it has. I have studied human nature and followed current events for that same period of time and I can safely say it is there that contradictions abound.

Here is yet one more simple but deeply profound warning spoken by Christ without one word of contradiction in it. Not only does Christ once again identify the source of the un-born but he warns us that how we handle them will determine whether we will ever return to that source again.

“And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, and said, Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” (Mt 18: 2-6)

As the PC detectives tune their ears to hear every word spoken in today’s touchy and fearful crowd, waiting to leap on anyone who might have spoken an unacceptable comment; how is it that they missed this? “Whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me…,” When someone thinks thoughts of taking our lives don’t we get a little offended? Forget name calling that’s child’s play. Oh, that we dared to honestly ask what the unborn think of our disregard of their precious lives. Oh, that we dared to believe that their answer would be no different than ours.
