Lately, it seems like everyone is binge-watching Netflix’s latest docuseries, Tiger King, an innocent-seeming show about a zoo-owner that turns dark, quick.
And this week, actor Jared Leto even hosted his very own virtual viewing party for the series on Twitter—and dressed as Joe Exotic himself to get into the mood. (Yes, a colorful, western shirt was included.)
The actor live-tweeted an episode of the show as part of his ongoing, virtual “Cinema Club,” a weekly watch-party he began with his followers last week in response to the quarantine. During his live-tweets of Tiger King, Leto also called out Exotic’s treatment of animals. “For the record no one should keep these animals in cages like this,” the actor wrote.
In recent days, Leto’s also written about the importance of physical-distancing amid the pandemic; in case you missed it, the actor only recently discovered news of the coronavirus after spending two weeks at a silent meditation retreat in a desert.
Fortunately, it seems he’s taking all coronavirus-related precautions seriously and urged his followers to stay home and self-isolate. If you’re bored, maybe now’s the time to give Tiger King a shot. And if you don’t believe us, well, here are a few reasons you should.
