First of all don’t confuse “senior moments” with early signs of dementia. A neurologist would tell you that being a little forgetful is a normal aging phenomenon. So if you are trying to remember a word or a name and it is on the tip of your tongue. Don’t be concerned. Especially not if the word comes back later. With dementia the word may never come back.


The positive steps that you can make to maintain your mental health are not difficult. Get enough sleep, exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet, keep active socially and maintain a positive attitude.
